STIHL® People Powered Reviews - Terms & Conditions
1. Information on how to participate in People Powered Reviews forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Reviews that do not comply with these Conditions of Entry are ineligible. Internet access and a valid email account are required to participate in People Powered Reviews. By posting your review online, Participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2.1 STIHL as the Promoter, Employees of the Promoter, the immediate families of the Promoter and affiliated companies and agencies of the Promoter and their respective Employees are ineligible to participate in People Powered Reviews. 2.2 STIHL Dealers, their respective Employees, their immediate families and affiliated companies and agencies of STIHL Dealers and their respective employees are ineligible to participate in People Powered Reviews. 3. People Powered Reviews is only open to Participants. “Participants ”means residents of Australia (other than the excluded persons set out in this clause 2), The Promoter reserves the right to request the details of individual proof of sale to validate a review. 4. The Promoter is STIHL Pty. Ltd.; A.B.N. No. 76 004 881 145 of 5 Kingston Park Court, Knoxfield, Victoria, Australia, 3180. Any queries relating to your submission of your online review should be made in writing via email to: peoplepowered@stihl.com.au. 5. Users of the People Powered Reviews website agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any other notices and guidelines which appear on the People Powered Reviews website, which are subject to change without notice, from time to time at our sole discretion. By ticking the ‘I have read Terms and Conditions' box, you hereby accept these Terms and Conditions as they exist at that time. Submission of any reviews will not be permitted without first accepting the Terms &Conditions. 6. By using People Powered Reviews website you agree that you will not take any of the following actions: a) Break our Posting Guidelines when posting reviews, comments, questions, answers and uploading of imagery.b) Violate the intellectual property rights of a third party;
c) Affect the way People Powered Reviews website displays its pages, such as by framing People Powered Reviews website or placing pop-up windows over its pages;
d) Customise People Powered Reviews website in a way that adversely affects the display of any advertising or promotional links on the Site;
e) Use any automated means to access the Site or collect any information from the Site;
f) Modify or create variant versions of People Powered Reviews websites logos or other trademarks;
g) Illegal activity under the laws of New South Wales and Australia;
7. We have the right to take any of the following actions at our sole discretion at any time and for any reason without giving you any prior notice:
a) Change, suspend, or discontinue all or any part of the Site;
b) Reject, move, or remove any material that you submit to the Site for any reason;
c) Reject, move, or remove any content that is available on the Site;
8. By providing your personal information you agree to the following:
a) Comply with People Powered Reviews website Terms of Use outlined above;
b) Receive member e-mail updates and newsletters, which can be cancelled at any time by unsubscribing from the email registration;
c) The Promoter collects personal information about Participants for the purpose of including Participants in the online review and each Participant agrees to the Promoter using their details for future marketing and publicity purposes to the extent permitted by the law. The Participants agree to the Promoter disclosing such information to third parties for this purpose. If any information requested is not provided, the purchaser may not participate in this online review. All personal details of Participants will be stored in a database at the office of the Promoter or its Agencies. The Promoter is committed to the protection of personal information. A copy of the Promoter ’s Privacy Policy in relation to the treatment of personal information may be obtained online at www.stihl.com.au
9. Copyright guidelines:
a) With the exception of company trademarks, all material contained on People Powered Reviews website, including, text, design, graphics, applications, software, underlying source code and the selection of arrangements is the copyright of People Powered Reviews website.
b) In accessing the web pages on the Site, you agree that any downloading of material is for personal, non-commercial use only. No part of the Site may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without prior permission of People Powered Reviews website.
c) It is permissible to send the URL of the Site to a third party, so that they can view the material in its context.
d) Upon submission of your review or any other content (“Content ”) to People Powered Reviews website, you warrant that you are the author and owner of the Content and you grant to People Powered Reviews website, a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, royalty-free license (including rights to sub-license) to use the Content (including the right to publish, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, edit) in any media without restriction.
e) You hereby warrant that all intellectual property rights that you may have in the Content, have been voluntarily waived by you and you agree not to assert any intellectual property rights in the Content.
f) Breach of these terms may be contrary to the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and sections 52 and 53 of the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth). 10. Posting Guidelines: These posting guidelines are subject to change at any time without notice at our sole discretion. Please read them carefully as we reserve the right to remove reviews or other content, remove or lock listings.
11. Basic Do ‘s and Don ’t ’s:
a) Be detailed and objective
b) Include product identifying information such as product model and serial numbers of machine
c) Write clearly using accurate grammar and spelling
d) Don't abuse, attack or threaten anyone
e) Don't post personal details such as names, phone numbers or email addresses
f) Don't swear and don't SHOUT
12. Irrelevant content: Comments and answers should be informative and relevant to your review. 13. Intolerance and vilification: Don't post content that contains intolerance or vilification of other people's race, culture, beliefs, physical or mental conditions, gender, religion, age, etc.
14. Review verification and requests for additional information: Our content team may run checks at their discretion to confirm if a reviewer has used the product or service they are reviewing. As part of these efforts, some reviewers may need to provide additional information to confirm that they have purchased a product. This information is kept confidential as per our Privacy Policy.
